**Manager (C11) - Global FP&A Risk & Controls - MCA Analyst - Mumbai**

**Job Purpose**

The purpose of the role will be to support the Global Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and Business/Function Chief Financial Officer (CFO) organizations within Finance with the performance of key activities as described below to drive strong strengthen governance, risk, and controls for FP&A and CFO processes globally.

Global Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is a business advisory group which produces and leverages forward looking trends and tools to assess business performance, helps the firm optimize resource allocation and supports Citi’s CFO, CEO, Senior Management and Board of Directors in strategic decision making. Core FP&A processes include: Weekly Financial Update / Risks & Opportunities (R&O); Quarterly Outlook; Quarterly Multi-Year Multi-Scenario Forecast (QMMF); Quarterly CEO Business Reviews; Annual CCAR; and Annual Strategic and Operating Plan for Citigroup and Citibank, N.A.

The Global F&A Risk & Controls (R&C) Team’s objective is to establish and enhance governance, risk and controls processes that improve effectiveness, efficiency and transparency of the control environment around FP&A and CFO forecasting, planning, reporting, and advisory processes in alignment to Citi standards and in compliance with U.S. regulatory requirements. The team’s remit is inclusive of fulfilling the Risk and Control Governance, Management, and reporting role and responsibilities for the FP&A Organization. The team is located in New York, Mumbai and Costa Rica and is organized around the following core pillars of global coverage: (1) Governance; (2) Operational Risk Controls, including Managers Control Assessment (MCA), (3) Compliance Risk Controls, (4) Models & EUC Oversight, (5) Issue Management & Reporting, and (6) External Engagement, as well as cross-team coordination/administration and jurisdiction specific R&C coverage for Mumbai and Costa Rica Analytical Centers.

This position is aligned to the MCA Vertical within the Operational Risk Controls pillar, as the MCA analyst to drive the various core MCA processes for FP&A Organization

**Responsibilities**
- Performing continuous monitoring of key MCA controls for Assessment Units (AUs) within FP&A Global Entity (MGE) in line with Citi MCA standards, and relevant Enterprise and Standard MCA Profiles.
- Monitor corrective action plan status for early intervention and escalation is case of emerging risk the completion of remediation.
- Execute an effective and timely review of issue validation
- Assist in the drafting of materials to be presented to report on the status and themes and trends in open issues to the BRCC and other forums
- Support Finance team on timely completion of Quarterly Risk Assessment (QRA) and Annual Risk Assessment (ARA) by effective communication of MCA monitoring results.
- Ensure appropriate level of communication is maintained on Internal Control matters to support the framework and ensure appropriate ownership and accountabilities from teams and managers
- Collaborate with various governance teams on MCA related activities, changes and updates to ensure Citi Risk and Control is kept current.
- Help in strengthening controls by identifying control gaps, and advising remedial actions to mitigate open risk.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationship with key stakeholders within Finance FP&A teams
- Proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating and escalating issues by sustaining independent views

**Qualifications and competencies**
- University/Bachelor’s degree, specialized in Finance/Accounting/Economics
- 3 to 4 years in a control/risk management experience in regulated financial services industry
- Strong knowledge and experience of internal control principles
- FP&A Process knowledge is an advantage
