**Job Summary**
- The **Medical** **Billing **Executive is responsible for Posting medicalcharges, payments, and journal entries to patient accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Work directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patient to get a claim processed and paid.
- Verifying correct insurance filing information on behalf of the client and patient
- Verifying receipt of all patient registration data from client and notifying client of potential coding problems.
- Prepare, review, and transmit claims using **billing **software, including electronic and paper claim processing.
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard **billing **cycle time frame.
- Research and appeal denied claims.
- Meet individual and departmental standards with regards to quality and productivity.
- Ability to handle protected health information in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA).
- Check eligibility and benefit verification.
- Review patient **bills **for accuracy and completeness and obtain any missing information
- Prepare, review, and transmit claims billings gate, including electronic and paper claim processing.
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including HMO/PPO, Medicare, and state Medicaid

**Responsibilities and Duties**

Verify patients insurance coverage.
Demographic entry of the patients information.
Use coded data to produce and submit claims to insurance companies.
Use payment information from insurance companies and patients to account them in the software.
Review and appeal unpaid and denied claims.
Handle collections on unpaid accounts.
Report over payments, underpayments, and other irregularities.
Meet individual and departmental standards with regards to quality and productivity.
Ability to handle protected health information in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and
Accountability (HIPAA).

**Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications**

**Required skills: -**

**2 years of Experience in US Medical Billing**

**Payment posting,** Denial management.

Desire for knowledge/attitude to learn
Good communication skills
Good reasoning and Analytical skill
Knowledge of MS Office suite

**Job Types**: Full-time, Regular / Permanent
