**Responsibilities**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ideate: Identify, benchmark, evaluate opportunities. To Lead and Manage the activities right from conceptualization stage to execution involving finalization of technical specifications, implementing, and delivering the project as per scheduled timelines
- Go-to-Market: Along with Strategy team, carry the market study and data analysis about feasibility of new product & new business opportunities, also to research the new business opportunities within existing product range or new product verticals. Work on entry and growth strategies along with business model with strategy and leadership team. Pitching the new product / technology to potential customer
- Incubate: To form, develop and leads teams for new product verticals, Review the operational practices, identify the areas of obstruction/quality failures and work on system and process changes for qualitative improvement. Make POC to validate idea and design. Work with cross functional teams to work on business processes from POC to Delivery
- Participate and provide support during RFQ stage for engineering and after awarding of project in engineering changes and launching in plants
- Facilitate designing & developing of products and components in conformance to pre-defined technical specifications and modified design
- Monitor, review and guide the designing processes and shall be responsible for the design validation, task generation, report analysis and component approval
- Work with manufacturing and suppliers to achieve the producible, quality designs at the optimum cost and to review APQP & DFMEA reports prepared for new products
- Help the company with Build and Buy decision making, including participating in sourcing strategy for new product
- Should be able to conceptualize multi-generational evolution in product and strategize the product development road map accordingly.

**Other Responsibilities**:

- Participate as key member of design team in making cross-functional operational decisions, taking cost optimization measures and modifications to achieve the substantial optimization in cost of materials & operations. Incumbent should have strong customer connect
- Coordinate day-to-day affairs of R&D with Internal & External Customers to meet customer expectation, actively participate in the implementation QCDSME, drive focused continuous improvement activities

**Qualification & Experience**:

- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Automobile/Production) & MBA/ Any equivalent degree
- 40 - 50 years of age
- 20-25 years of experience in product development / R&D with Automobile Industry
- Strong Techno-commercial know how, Sharp Business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset, having strong understanding of upcoming technologies used in hybrid and electric vehicle globally and map the market for availability of it
