**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and Manage activities right from conceptualization stage to execution involving finalization of technical specifications; delivering & implementing the project as per scheduled timelines.
- Market study and data analysis about feasibility of new product and new business opportunities.
- Re-search for new business opportunities within existing product range or new product verticals.
- Create and leads teams for new product verticals.
- Review the operational practices, identify the areas of obstruction/quality failures and work on system and process changes for qualitative improvement.
- Participate and provide support in RFQ stage engineering and after awarding of projects, engineering changes and launching in plants.
- Monitor Design Engineering operations involving design & development; develop detailed drawings for components in co-ordination with internal departments.
- Work with manufacturing and suppliers to achieve producible, quality designs at the lowest possible cost.
- Review APQP & DFMEA reports prepared for new products.
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Automobile/Production) & MBA/ Any equivalent degree
- 20-25 years of experience in Research & Development in Auto component / Automobile Industry
- Relevant experience in auto component product segment in electric / hybrid space or in OEM’s having worked on vehicle integration but not on system integration
- Techno - commercial individual with sharp business acumen & entrepreneurial mind-set
- Strong understanding of upcoming / new technology being used in hybrid / electric vehicles globally and map the market for availability of the same.
- Comes with deep relationships with 4 wheeler customer segment in the R&D department, however connects with 2 wheeler segment will be preferred
- Strong experience in mechatronics / electric / electronics
- Exceptional leadership qualities
