The Role

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients - which means some of the biggest in the world.

There’s never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- At least 8 years’ experience in IBM Spectrum Scale (AIX/Linux) and Strong understanding of file system concepts, storage architectures, and data management principles.
- Experience with storage technologies such as SAN (Storage Area Network), NAS (Network Attached Storage), and distributed file systems.
- Knowledge of Spectrum Scale networking, file system creation, and storage pool configuration.
- Experience in managing and administering Spectrum Scale clusters, including cluster setup, node management, and monitoring.
- Ability to configure high availability (HA) and disaster recovery configurations for Spectrum Scale environments.
- Experience in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks within Spectrum Scale clusters.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Install, configure, and initialize IBM Spectrum Scale clusters across multiple nodes and storage systems
- Set up networking, file systems, and storage pools to support Spectrum Scale deployments.
- Create and manage Spectrum Scale file systems with appropriate access controls, quotas, and policies.
- Manage storage devices and disks integrated with Spectrum Scale, including RAID configurations and volume management
- Implement and maintain high availability (HA) configurations for Spectrum Scale clusters to ensure continuous access to data.
