Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collect lesson plans from teaching staff before the commencement of class work and ensure that the information provided is in accordance with the format.
- Be responsible and accountable for setting and advancing the academic strategy of the Department in line with Faculty and University strategic plans and direction.
- Be an active member of the Faculty Executive Board and contribute to the overall leadership and management of the Faculty: it is expected that Heads of Department will carry functional responsibility for specific agreed cross-cutting Faculty areas.
- Develop and sustain appropriate structures for management, consultation, decision-making and communication with staff and students.
- Promote and represent the University both internally and externally.
- Ensure the best possible student experience through: the fulfillment of the Universitys responsibilities concerning students in respect of their admission, instruction, progress and examination; the availability of pastoral assistance, and adherence to the regulations and procedures of Faculties and of the Senate.
- Refresh and develop new programmes in order to attract new students and markets.
- Ensure the highest levels of quality, integrity and ethics in all research undertaken.
- Create a dynamic and forward looking research environment for both staff and students.
- Ensure that University HR policies and procedures are implemented.
- Prepare course materials, such as syllabus, homework assignments, and handouts.
- Conduct research in a particular field of knowledge and publish findings in professional journals, books.
- Evaluate and grade students class work, laboratory work, assignments, and papers.
- Maintain student’s attendance records, grade sheets and other required records.
- Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
- Keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, discussing with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
- Supervise undergraduate or graduate teaching, internship, and research work.
- Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research related issues in the Department.
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students.
- Advise students on academic and vocational curriculum along with other career perspectives.
- Provide industrial exposure to the students at all stages through their registration, internship, recruitment and placement activities.
- Compile bibliographies of specialized materials for outside reading assignments.
- Select and obtain materials and supplies such as textbooks and laboratory equipment.
- Serve on academic or administrative committees that deal with institutional policies.
- Participate in campus and community events, also acting as advisers to student organizations.
- Upgrade your own skills through Trainings, Workshop and FDP’s.

**Salary**: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
