**Roles and Responsibilities**

-Database Architecture, Design, and Implementation experience at large Enterprises

-Experience in managing databases like Exadata, Exalogic, Mark logic, Hadoop, Oracle, MSSQL, MYSQL, PostgreSQL, Maria DB, Mango DB, Cassandra
- Experience in Data Center Migration and Technology consolidation across multiple database platforms both on-prem and cloud
- Build and grow vendor relationship, working Build and grow vendor relationship, working with vendors to design and develop best fit solutions and driving the technology roadmap

-Experience in building strategies and roadmaps for legacy database systems to Cloud

-Provide technical expertise of the data space that contributes to the strategic roadmaps for Enterprise Data Architecture, Data Cloud Architecture, and Business Intelligence Architecture, as well contribute to achievement of strategic objectives of organization

-Plan and oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions

-Oversee a portfolio of data warehousing projects at the organization, ensuring alignment to business objectives and strategy

-Architect and implement HA/DR/Backup/Maintenance strategies for cloud and on-premises

-Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems

-Inspect existing databases and data Warehouses and identify optimizations for potential development.

-Create strategies and roadmaps for implementation ETL processes and data architecture to ensure proper functioning of different functions and service lines

-Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders in ensuring data warehouse architecture development and utilization

-Review the status of in-flight projects and their progress time to time and ensure completion

-Ensure all data warehouse architecture codes are maintained in a version control system

-Ensure all follow the standard practice and frameworks on each project from development, to testing and then productionizing, each within the appropriate environment laid out by Data Architecture

-Ensure maintenance of large, multi-terabyte data warehouse which includes performance tuning and data retention/purge processes

-Ensure that data quality issues are addressed and fixed and propose both short
- and long-term solutions

-Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features.

-Experience working as Database Warehousing or similar field

-Hands-on experience with Data Model Techniques

-Working technical experience with relational database servers

-Proven ability in design, implementation and migration of various database provisioning, installations, configurations and maintenance and monitoring

-Competent in people leadership, communication, and presentation skills
