Job Description: Maintenance Supervisor

Under the direction of the Chief Engineer / Superiors in the dept. or other appropriate

administrative staff, is responsible for coordinating, assisting and supervising the work of

employees in the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, equipment and all

related systems/requirements. Responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical,

and related systems. Performs the work of employees and other duties as required.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assigns, assists and supervises the work of maintenance employees.

Inspects work for completeness.

Determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used.

Transfers equipment and personnel from one project to another as necessary.

Follow the preventive maintenance chart strictly and maintain records for future

reference

Keeps up time cards, logs and other routine records.

Coordinates or installs, inspects, repairs and maintains the electrical, plumbing, mechanical

and other related systems in all locations.

Coordinates or inspects, operates and maintains the efficiency heating, cooling and

ventilation systems in all locations.

Does general repairs.

Coordinates renovations of existing facilities and the construction of new facilities.

Coordinates and inspects major contract work on the electrical, plumbing, mechanical and

other related systems in all locations.

Create on the job training among engineering colleagues and create opportunities for

them to enhance their skills and multitask.

Abide by the rules of the hotel and act as an example to others.

Coordinate with other department’s counterparts to ensure their satisfaction on quality

and progress and to create healthy relationship with inter-departments

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with fellow employees and

vendors/contractors/guests.

Ability to install, inspect, repair and maintain the electrical, plumbing and other related

systems of all locations.

Ability to perform various clean-up and maintenance tasks as needed.

Ability to update inventories and other supplies as needed.

Ability to inspect, operate and maintain the heating, cooling and ventilation systems.

Skill in maintaining and repairing security hardware.

Ability to understand instructions and needs.

Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions

necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.

Aware of the emergency procedure in the hotel and know what to do in case of

emergencies.

Minimum Education,

Technical School or ITI.

Four years’ experience in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities that

would include the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or

equipment failures.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
