**Job Title**: Pharmacist

**Job Summary**:
The pharmacist is responsible for preparing, dispensing, and reviewing medications, ensuring their safe and effective use. They provide advice on the correct use of prescription and over-the-counter drugs, monitor patient health progress, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Dispensing Medications**:

- Accurately fill prescriptions as per the physician’s instructions.
- Check for drug interactions and contraindications.
- Ensure correct dosage, labeling, and packaging.
- **Patient Counseling**:

- Provide guidance on dosage, side effects, storage, and drug interactions.
- Educate patients on the proper use of medications and medical devices.
- Promote medication adherence.
- **Inventory and Supply Management**:

- Manage and maintain pharmacy stock.
- Ensure storage conditions meet safety and regulatory requirements.
- Keep records of inventory levels and expired medications.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:

- Maintain records for controlled substances.
- Ensure compliance with local and national pharmacy laws.
- Follow protocols related to medication safety and quality standards.
- **Clinical Collaboration**:

- Work with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to monitor and improve drug therapy.
- Participate in clinical rounds (in hospital settings).
- Provide input on drug formulary and therapeutic alternatives.
- **Administrative Duties**:

- Maintain patient medication history.
- Process insurance claims and prescriptions.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians or interns, if applicable.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), (m.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (D.Pharm).
- Valid pharmacy license/registration.
- Strong understanding of pharmacology and drug interactions.
