**Roles and Responsibilities**
- The role is to oversee the entire Finance reporting.
- Leading the implementation of new Accounting system
- Finalization of books, handling Auditors and reporting to regulator, Shareholders’ and other internal stakeholders’
- Leading new projects in the Financial Controller’s shop, giving guidance on the day to accounting and related activities to the Account payable and customer payout team etc.
- Leading Ind-AS implementation as and when applicable in India, networking with industry peers and internal customers, conflict management, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
- Manage all Operational tax matters.
- Ensuring timely reporting to the various stakeholders, other shareholders, audit and board committees and the various regulators.
- Ensuring monthly closure activities like analysis of expense, accrual management, monthly schedules, reconciliation, ledger scrutiny etc.
- Supporting finalization of accounts
- Preparation of IRDAI financials, monthly financials presentation, variance analysis etc.
- Month end Opex closure
- Preparation of annual financials including notes to accounts.
- Ensure preparation of various Balance sheet schedules/details
- Chartered Accountant from the Insitute of Chartered Accountants of India with 12+ years of experience
- Prior experience of accounting and reporting in a Life Insurance Company.
- Good experience and knowledge in varous finance areas like balance sheet control, acccouting, IGAAP, IFRS, accounts finalisation and statutory audit, etc.
