**As part of our team, you will**:

- Assist with schema design, architecture reviews, and SQL query tuning
- Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements
- Install and maintain the performance of database servers
- Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors
- Serve as database on-call engineer
- Recommend and implement emerging database technologies
- Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards
- Create automation for repeating database tasks
- Monitor SQL server health and automate alerts
- Work cohesively with operations teams in US, India and Europe to provide 24x7 support

**Your skills and experience**

**You have**:

- BS in Computer Science or an equivalent degree
- 7+ years of experience administering, managing, and tuning SQL databases
- Writing and optimizing queries in T-SQL
- Experience with Google cloud and DB2
- Good understanding of data and schema standards and concepts
- Good understanding database design, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance
- Strong English skills, written and spoken
- Ability to work in remote team
- Cloud experience and knowledge

**It would be nice if you also had**:

- Knowledge of cloud-based software products.
- Basic knowledge on any of Cloud or Data center methodologies.
- Basic Knowledge of common network protocols and SQL.
- Ability to work closely and communicate effectively with project owners and other team members
- Willingness to participate in documentation activities
- Certification in Google, AWS, or Azure Cloud
- Certification in Oracle or DB2
