**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Design and Drafting**:

- Develop detailed 2D/3D designs of control panel enclosures, brackets, and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Create fabrication drawings, assembly instructions, and bill of materials (BOM).
- **Collaborate with Teams**:

- Work closely with electrical engineers to ensure optimal layout and integration of components within enclosures.
- Communicate with production teams to address manufacturing feasibility and resolve design challenges.
- **Standards and Compliance**:

- Ensure designs adhere to industry standards such as NEMA, UL, or IEC.
- Verify compliance with customer specifications and project requirements.
- **Material and Component Selection**:

- Select appropriate materials, fasteners, and components to meet environmental, cost, and performance needs.
- Collaborate with vendors to source standard and custom mechanical components.
- **Documentation and Support**:

- Maintain accurate records of all designs, revisions, and project documentation.
- Provide technical support during the manufacturing and assembly process.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Identify opportunities to optimize designs for cost reduction, manufacturability, and performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and software tools.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the control panel or electrical industry.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of sheet metal design, thermal management, and enclosure manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with electrical control panel layouts and component placement.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
