**Roles and responsibilities**:
**Role Purpose**
- Understand Customer Specification Needs and Expectation and solve their queries
- Customer Centricity (Internal & external Customer)
- Understand the importance of data collection, analysis and eradication of the cause. Must

know how to manage Customer end Incident in respect to welding, data alignment,

Concepts and importance of COPQ, Purpose of Internal audit, Product Audit, Process

Audit, Work instructions, Deviations management, Suppliers' incidents, Suppliers' Quality,

APQP, FMEA, Special processes, SPC, Traceability, Customer FAT, Respect of product,

Visual control, Reworks control, Logistics Quality, Stop Scrap, Process Capability, Incoming

Inspection, Start-up check list, Customers' meeting, San Gen Shuji, QRQC (Quick Reaction

Quality control), Customer Returns Improvement, Warranty improvement, Before

commissioning improvements, PDCA ,8D, Reactivity, REX, Stability audits, Sharing / Lesson

Learnt, Standardization, Design reviews,
- Drawing Study & determine extent of NDE, Selection of Welding Process, Establish Welding

Procedures
- NDE Procedure review, Validate and demonstration to authorized Inspector and implement
- NDE Technique Sheet Approve
- Guide team to Train and Qualify Welder, NDE Level II and maintain their record. Should

able to lead and guide team of Welding Engineers and NDE Personnel
- Must know the purpose of right Welding techniques (Method), Machine / NDE Instrument

Calibration Review, Safe Keeping of Welding /NDE Record
- Co-ordinate With Shop and NDE Agency
- Control of RT Enclosure and Pit Room, Co-ordinate with AERB, Ensure Safety requirements

complied.
- Control of Out Sourced NDE, dealing with TPI / AI / AIS
- Qualification and Control of Welding and NDE Consumables
- Ensure NDE Clearance
- Active Participation during ASME / Customer’s Audit & Improvement Projects
- Administration of Dark Room
- NDE Rework Control
- Selection of Right Instrument Procurement for NDE/Welding
- Monitor Daily and Monthly NDE reporting
- Adopt Innovative ideas and new technology. Ability to identify the Process improvement

projects. Drive Culture of project base breakthrough. Should know the digitization, IoT in the quality and Process controls
- An inspiring leader and knows performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
