Setup and Operation:

- Set up and operate VMCs to perform machining operations such as milling, drilling, tapping, and contouring.
- Load and unload workpieces, and ensure proper clamping and alignment.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding devices.
- Adjust machine settings, including speeds, feeds, and depths of cut, to achieve desired results.
- Run and monitor CNC programs, making necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Quality Control:

- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify conformance to specifications.
- Identify and report any deviations or defects in parts or processes.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and machine operations.
- Adhere to quality control procedures and standards.
- Maintenance and Safety:

- Perform routine maintenance on VMCs, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Report any machine malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Program Management:

- Load, edit and optimize CNC programs as needed.
- Understand G and M codes.
- Troubleshoot program errors.
- Collaboration:

- Work closely with engineers, programmers, and other team members to ensure efficient production and quality.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues. Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a VMC Operator or similar role.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and machining processes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and quality control procedures.
- Ability to set up and operate VMCs independently.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills.
