You will be working as Legal Counsel role reporting to Division lead counsel and will be part of Motion
- Large Motors & Generators division Business Area based in Vadodara, India. This position is primarily responsible for legal support to Motion - Large Motors & Generators (MOLM) division operating in and from India - with focus on business-oriented contract reviews and negotiations, litigation, regulatory and compliance issues and framing of policies at business level.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Drafting, reviewing, commenting and negotiating a wide array of commercial contracts, long term sales agreements, frame agreements, procurement contracts, master agreements, licensing agreements, IP related agreements, nondisclosure agreements, consortium agreements and other contracts for MOLM.
- Reviewing of non-standard formats/templates for sale of products through various channels.
- Reviewing of tender documents, bids, risk analysis and suggest mitigation steps wherever needed for MOLM.
- Supporting in managing contractual claims and advise on the resolution of disputes or litigation through external advisors when necessary.
- Handling of litigations, recovery matters (including issuing legal notices and/or responding to notices) and management of disputes through clear strategy.
- Supporting our business with general legal advice and questions related to integrity, including providing general guidance and management of legal issues in respect of Competition laws, Legal Metrology Act, Factories Act, Labour laws, Consumer Protection Act etc, for both MOLM business and factory.
- Discussing / interacting with various statutory/ governmental agencies/ police authorities in relation to the factory legal & compliance matters.
- Collaborating with MOLM Division Lead Counsel, MO business counsel and Regional General Counsel for country specific legal and integrity topics.
- Conducting training on legal and integrity matters for targeted audiences.
- Whilst maintaining an independent position, develop close working relationships with ABB’s internal customers including commercial business teams, finance, HR, EHS and supply chain functions.

**Your background**:

- A law degree from a reputed law college in India or of international repute with at least 10+ years post qualification experience.
- Well-organized to manage multiple assignments simultaneously under deadline pressure
- Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of matters from complex matters to routine matters in a sometimes-challenging environment
- Ability to interpret local and international laws in context of business
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and being able to work effectively with business clients and in a multicultural environment
