Assembly Integration and Testing Technician

**Responsibilities**:

- Execute calibration tests on the optical components of the payload.
- Participate in Pre flight calibration including geometrical, spatial and radiometric calibration, aberration characterisation, stray light test etc.
- Execute alignment and integration of the payload to the bus
- Operate test softwares for calibration and tests for imaging systems.

Basic Qualification:

- Minimum 5 years of space quality experience, including a strong “hands-on” background with Assembly, Integration and Testing of optical or optomechanical assemblies.
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Optical Engineering or in related fields; plus strong industry experience.
- Preferred: Having a ISRO or any other space qualified industry certification related in AIT of Optical Payloads.

Skills/Requirements:

- Experience with working in an optical laboratory and familiarity with optical metrology tools an advantage
- Good understanding of imaging systems & camera technology.
- Hands on experience Mechanical handling and the AIT of optical payload
- Hands on experience in Alignment activities of the payload and satellite.
- Experience in lens characterisation methodology and calibration.
- Experience in implementing space thermal control solution on satellites - Adhesives, coatings, and MLI
- Good understanding of production procedures in order to execute test plan, procedure, and report preparation for different tests performed on payload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - in English.
- Must be able to read and interpret data, information, and documents
