Laboratory Chemist Responsibilities & Duties
- Conducting experiments and analyzing data using various scientific techniques and instruments
- Maintaining accurate records of experiments and results
- Interpreting data and making recommendations based on findings
- Working collaboratively with other scientists and researchers to advance the organization's research goals
- Staying up-to-date with industry advancements and incorporating new techniques and technologies into your work
- Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring a safe work environment
- Prepare solutions, compounds, and reagents for lab tests.
- Analyze samples using various techniques, including chromatography and spectroscopy.
- Ensure all laboratory work complies with established safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with other scientists and team members on research projects.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Interpret data and prepare technical reports.

**Qualifications**:

- BSc & MSc degree in Chemistry or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
- Strong understanding of chemical principles and laboratory safety protocols.
- Proven ability to conduct independent research.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
