Job description
We are looking for Analytical Chemist for QC Department who has experience in Dyes & Dye Intermediates/Pharma/ chemical/ Agro Chemical industry.
**Roles and Responsibilities**:
- To prepare test solutions, compounds, titrant, and reagents for day-to-day analysis.
- Titration of known compounds to determine their purity of online processes of plant, finished products, raw materials, basic materials as well as research related products
- Titration of unknown products to determine the isomers, side reactions, cis-trans formations in a compound if any during research or in plant process.
- To assess Moisture content of products as per the Test Method.
- To carry out after reduction/before reduction tests to determine the in-process completion of reactions
- To determine the coupling value of products as per the Test method.
- To calculate the acidity of basic chemicals like Oleum, Sulfuric acid, Nitric acid and Alkalinity of Caustic Soda, Lye etc.
- To determine Filter losses and insoluble detection in the products.
- To calculate the solubility of the known and unknown compounds.
- To analyse organic and inorganic compounds to determine chemical and physical properties, composition, structure, relationships, and reactions, utilizing chromatography, spectroscopy, and spectrophotometry techniques.
- Calibration of the lab equipment as per the set time period and customizing formulas and processes if required.
- Compile and analyse test information to determine process or equipment operating efficiency and to diagnose malfunctions.
- To assess each and every finished good before dispatch from the factory/warehouse and make a summarized report on it as per the company procedure.
- To clean and stack the apparatus as per the need.
- To follow the ISO Standards and Company’s Policy and to coordinate with the other departments of the company during audits.
- An analytical chemist should have no hassle in keeping their surrounding area clean and maintaining the discipline in the department for a better working condition.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Should have well adverse knowledge in the Nomenclature of Organic and Inorganic compounds.
- Should have knowledge of physical chemistry and its terminologies like Normality, Molarity, Chemical Kinetics etc.
- Should be able to carry out Acid-Base Titrations and Redox Titrations.
- Should have knowledge of principles of different Spectroscopies and Chromatography.
Should have experience in using Lab Instruments like Karlfisher, GC, HPLC.
**Salary**: From ₹15,000.00 per month
