Product Owner

This Product Owner role serves as a key member of our software product development team. This person is responsible for taking full ownership of their value stream. To empower this ownership, they are given full autonomy to drive the maximum value stream benefits Successful Product Owners prioritize requests from both internal and external customers that contribute the highest business value and strategic alignment. The duties include but are not limited to:
Serve as liaison between business teams and development teams.
Transition the product vision into a practical backlog
Advocate for the customers’ needs in front of the development team.
Collaboration with Product teams to build business requirements and non-functional requirements
Collaborate with and empower a cross-functional team of designers, developers, testers and others to develop, implement, and release in alignment with product roadmaps.
Translate internal and external customer requirements into small value user stories consumed by the development team
Generate feature acceptance criteria with develop team and testers
Manage, prioritize, and assess the impact of all work items, such as new features, defects, non-functional requirements through the product backlog
Assist with functional testing, including reviewing and accepting or declining output of development to ensure specified acceptance criteria have been completed.
Support customers across global time zones Required Qualifications:
2+ years optimally leading as a product owner or equivalent experience
Technical ability to partner with development teams.
Ability to make good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business from an accredited university or equivalent degree/experience
**Preferred Qualifications**:
Master’s degree in engineering or business from an accredited university or equivalent degree/experience
Product owner certification (CSPO)
Scaled Agile Framework for the Enterprise (SAFe) Preferred Experience:
Experience in planning and completing a multi-quarter release plan
Proficient in JIRA (Atlassian) or other automated product tools Soft Skills:
Strong leadership ability
Strong discernment and affinity for using data to drive decisions.
Strong empathy for users, business partners, and collaborators.
Excellent communication skills to adapt to the unique needs of different audiences.
Strong problem-solving skills
Detail oriented with a strong focus on quality
