Role Description

**JOB TITLE**:
Big Data Engineer

**MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important)**:

- experience in designing, developing, managing, and tuning big data processing pipelines - expert knowledge of Spark, Spark Streaming
- hands-on knowledge of Scala or Java

**DESIRED SKILLS**:

- hands-on experience with the Google Cloud Platform
- experience with Google Dataflow/ Apache Beam
- experience with Apache Storm
- experience with BigQuery

**GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS**:

- Java developer experience

**JOB DUTIES**:
Day-to-day work will involve designing and implementing new data processing pipelines using Google Cloud.

**EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS**:

- A Bachelor's degree in computer science is preferred.
