**Job Summary**:
The Kitchen Assistant cum Cook is responsible for assisting in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen. This role combines both kitchen support tasks and cooking duties to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently for food safety and hygiene.
- Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, or special meals as required.
- Follow family recipes or try new dishes, ensuring consistency and high-quality results.
- Assist with cooking for events or gatherings as requested by the household.
- Ensure dishes are prepared in a timely manner to meet meal times.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning counters, stovetops, sinks, and other kitchen surfaces.
- Ensure kitchen appliances (e.g., oven, refrigerator, blender, etc.) are cleaned and maintained.
- Properly store leftovers, ingredients, and cooked meals in the refrigerator or pantry.
- Dispose of kitchen waste appropriately and take care of composting or recycling when needed.
- Help with grocery shopping, ensuring that all necessary items are purchased and stocked.
- Keep track of pantry supplies, refrigerator, and freezer contents, and notify the family when items need to be replenished.
- Assist with organizing the pantry, ensuring that all food is stored correctly.
- Ensure the kitchen environment is regularly sanitized to avoid contamination and maintain hygiene.
- Safely handle kitchen tools and equipment to avoid injury or accidents.
- Assist with meal presentation or setting the dining table.
- Help with cleaning up after meals, including washing dishes, clearing the table, and wiping down surfaces.
- Assist with packing lunches or meal prep for the following day.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in cooking and kitchen assistance, preferably in a home setting.
- Basic culinary skills, including chopping, cooking, and meal preparation.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices.
- Ability to prepare meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Comfortable with basic household tasks, such as cleaning and organizing.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Good communication skills to understand preferences and discuss meal plans.

**Salary**

Rs. 15,000/- to Rs. 20,000/- p.m.
