**Job Title**: Accounting Clerk
**Location**: Ludhiana, Punjab, India
**Shift Hours**: 8-12 hour shifts, between 7 am to 7 pm EST

**Position Summary**
We are looking for an **Accounting Clerk** who is eager to learn and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role requires familiarity with the trucking industry, MS Office Suite, and accounting principles to perform data entry, manage financial records, and create reports.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage driver and employee expenses.
- Enter EFT remittances and check payment stubs into QuickBooks.
- Generate invoices for repair work and follow up on overdue payments.
- Compile reports for fuel expenses and gross revenue using Excel.
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accurate financial data.
- Process accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.
- Assist in payroll processing, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate financial transaction records and update accounting systems.
- Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash balances.
- Process accounts payable transactions, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements.
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance.
- Stay current on accounting standards and provide technical guidance.
**Qualifications**
- Strong proficiency in **English**, both written and verbal.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams, as well as Slack.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and dispatch software (e.g., Transplus Fleetmanager) is preferred.
- An accounting background or relevant designation is an asset.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
