**Key Responsibilities**:

- Research fashion trends, market demands, color palettes, and seasonal themes.
- Conceptualize and sketch original clothing designs using hand-drawing, CAD software, or both.
- Develop mood boards, storyboards, and design presentations.
- Select fabrics, trims, and materials appropriate for the design and target audience.
- Create detailed technical specifications and oversee sample development.
- Collaborate with pattern makers, garment technicians, and manufacturers to ensure quality and fit.
- Adjust designs based on feedback from fittings and sample reviews.
- Stay updated on production techniques, fabric innovation, and sustainability trends.
- Coordinate with the marketing and merchandising team for product launches and visual storytelling.
- Attend fashion shows, trade fairs, and supplier meetings to gain inspiration and source materials.
- Monitor performance of collections and refine future designs based on market response and feedback.

**Required Skills & Knowledge**:

- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CLO 3D or similar CAD programs.
- Strong drawing, sewing, and pattern-making skills.
- In-depth knowledge of têxtiles, garment construction, color theory, and fashion history.
- Understanding of fashion retail, target markets, and pricing strategy.
- Awareness of sustainability practices in fashion.
- Excellent visual and creative flair with a strong attention to detail.
- Time management and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in fashion design, preferably within [specify: womenswear, menswear, activewear, etc.].
- A strong portfolio showcasing a range of styles and skills.
- Knowledge of fashion manufacturing processes and sourcing.

**Preferred**:

- Experience working with global supply chains and understanding of garment production cycles.
- Familiarity with trend forecasting platforms (e.g., WGSN).
- Understanding of e-commerce and digital fashion marketing.
