Cad Designer

**Responsibilities**:

- Translate the client s briefing/information in to innovative and reliable mechanical product definitions.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of the product design process, from planning and design to testing and implementation.
- Working closely with stakeholders to understand product requirements and translating them into actionable design specifications.
- Leading the design process using Creo, ensuring that designs meet technical requirements, standards, and regulations.
- Ensuring that designs adhere to GDandT standards for optimal manufacturability and performance.
- Overseeing the testing and validation process to ensure that designs meet quality standards and performance expectations.
- Providing guidance, support, and mentorship to the CAD engineering team, fostering professional development and growth.
- Managing and leading a team to deliver CAD projects, including resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting, to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Collaborating with other departments, such as manufacturing, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment and integration of CAD designs with overall product development goals.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement, technology adoption, and skill development within the CAD team.
- Ensuring that all CAD designs and related documentation comply with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Effectively communicating with stakeholders, including team members, management, and external partners, to convey project status, challenges, and recommendations.
- Overseeing CAD projects from initiation to completion, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Efficiently allocating resources, including personnel, software, and hardware, to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Monitoring and managing timesheets for CAD team members to track project hours and ensure accurate billing and resource utilization.
- Ensuring timely and accurate billing and invoice submissions for CAD services rendered, in compliance with organizational and client requirements.
- Ensuring that CAD designs and processes adhere to the organization s QMS standards, including ISO certifications, industry regulations, and internal quality policies.
- Implementing quality assurance measures to ensure that CAD designs meet specified standards, requirements, and client expectations.
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with CAD projects, including technical, financial, and schedule-related risks.
- Effectively communicating with clients to understand their requirements, provide project updates, and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Providing leadership and guidance to the CAD team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Conducting regular performance evaluations for CAD team members, providing feedback and coaching to support their professional development.
- By effectively managing projects, resources, timesheets, billing and invoice submissions, and ensuring quality as per the organization s QMS, a CAD engineering manager can contribute to the successful execution of CAD projects and the overall success of the organization.

**Education/Qualifications**:

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/ Automobile/Aero/Industrial/ Production with 5 to 10 years of experience.
- Must have strong experience in CAD design, CAD modeling, CAD conversion, CAD automation
- M.Tech preferable but not mandatory.
