Commi 2 Asian

The Commis II - Asian Cuisine is responsible for preparing and cooking dishes in accordance with set recipes and standards, specifically focusing on authentic Asian cuisine (e.g., Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean, etc.). The role requires maintaining hygiene standards, ensuring proper food storage, and assisting the senior chefs in daily kitchen operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook food items in accordance with Asian cuisine recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients such as cutting vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces.
- Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the workstation and kitchen equipment.
- Follow all health and safety regulations in food handling and kitchen operations.
- Coordinate with the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef for daily tasks and specials.
- Assist with stock rotation, labeling, and storage of food supplies.
- Support other sections of the kitchen when required.
- Adhere to portion control and waste reduction policies.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an Asian restaurant or hotel.
- Good knowledge of at least one major Asian cuisine (e.g., Chinese, Japanese, Thai).
- Culinary diploma or relevant training is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Knife skills and ingredient knowledge specific to Asian cooking.
- Ability to prepare basic sushi, wok cooking, or noodle dishes (depending on specialty).
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Pay: ₹10,219.25 - ₹17,257.05 per month
