**Overview**
- The Art and Craft Teacher will inspire creativity and self-expression in students through engaging and innovative lessons. This role involves teaching various art techniques, introducing students to diverse artistic styles, and fostering an appreciation for art and design. The teacher will also collaborate with other departments to contribute to school events, exhibitions, and celebrations.

**Responsibilities**

**Teaching and Curriculum Development**:

- Plan and deliver creative and interactive art and craft lessons for students across different grade levels.
- Teach various techniques, such as drawing, painting, sculpting, origami, pottery, and mixed media.
- Develop lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Introduce students to different artistic styles, cultural art forms, and art history.
- Customize lessons to cater to students of varying skill levels and interests.

**Student Engagement and Development**:

- Encourage students to explore and express their creativity through projects, activities, and assignments.
- Identify and nurture students with exceptional artistic talent.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their skills.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident to experiment and learn.

**Events and Exhibitions**:

- Organize and lead school art exhibitions, craft fairs, and competitions to showcase student artwork.
- Collaborate with the school team for creative decorations during events, festivals, and celebrations.
- Design and execute backdrops, props, and displays for school programs.

**Resource Management**:

- Maintain and manage the art and craft supplies inventory, ensuring the availability of materials for classes.
- Source and recommend the procurement of quality art materials and tools.

**Professional Development**:

- Stay updated with new art techniques, materials, and trends to introduce fresh ideas into the classroom.

**Administrative Responsibilities**:

- Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and achievements.
- Prepare term-wise assessments, grades, and feedback for report cards.
- Contribute to school committees and interdisciplinary activities as required.

**Skills Description**

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- A teaching certification or diploma in Art Education is preferred.

**Experience**:

- 2-4 years of experience as an Art and Craft Teacher in a school setting.
- Experience in teaching both traditional and contemporary art forms is an advantage.

- Proficiency in various art techniques, mediums, and tools.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all age groups.
