**Role Description**

The Trade and/or Transaction Analyst provides operational expertise and independent governance to achieve timely, accurate and complete transaction management for the bank and, where relevant, the bank’s clients.
The Trade and/or Transaction Analyst's responsibilities include technical, transactional and logístical input into the leadership team to ensure the bank operates with the right balance of quality, flexibility, control and cost. This is achieved through collaboration across businesses and divisions in an environment which maximises control and minimises operational risk, whilst maintaining exceptional client or internal customer/stakeholder (as appropriate) service levels.

The Trade and/or Transaction Analyst strives to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with internal partners and/or external clients (as appropriate) and within the wider market in order to improve market practices and platforms. The Trade and/or Transaction Analyst builds and manages partnerships between internal businesses to ensure that the bank’s business objectives are delivered, comply with operational control, external regulation and continue to improve the bank’s technology platforms, as appropriate. Where relevant, they focus on new business initiatives and working as a team to ensure full front-to-back operational readiness for products ranging from high-volume vanilla trading through to highly-complex structured transactions.

**Your key responsibilities**
- Manage day-to-day loan activities including but not limited to MGLs, MCF/MFFs, secondary trade processing etc.
- Monitor scheduled activity to ensure that all transactions are processed within timeframes indicated
- Ensuring trade funding is processed prior to daily cutoff time
- Interface with internal contacts for resolution of position discrepancies in a timely manner
- Reconciliation of entries and calculation for assigned business areas or assignment agreements, i.e. fees, compensations, etc.
- Monitor and escalate aging issues and unresolved disputes to management
- Identify and escalate open issues to team manager
- Provide written commentary on outstanding open issues
- Collate regular reports for monitoring purposes
- Understand business and regulatory requirements and ensure functions are being performed in those requirements
- Daily monitoring of WIP (Work in Process) and Ops Control reports ensuring that items are properly identified and cleared in a timely manner
- Cash matching on TLM
- Review and update procedures to ensure efficiency in training and transaction processing
- Participate in departmental projects and initiatives which involve UAT testing, updating department policies and procedures
- Cross-train with other departments for work efficiencies and knowledge enhancements
- Adhere to operational controls including legal and regulatory procedures to ensure safety and security of the Bank’s assets other ad-hoc requests as needed assigned by management.

**Your skills and experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics combined with at least 2 years financial industry experience. Alternatively, 3-4 years of experience in the financial industry is preferred
- Ability to read and understand legal documents such as credit agreements, amendment documentation, trade settlement documents and loan servicing notices
- Strong problem solving and/or analytical skills under tight deadlines and stress induced environment
- Excellent PC skills to include proficiency in MS Excel and Word
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced investment banking operations environment
- Thoroughness and attention to detail is a must
- Posses effective decision making capabilities
- Ability to work independently and handle heavy volumes within deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment in order to achieve group targets
- Strong relationship abilities with internal departments
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of syndi
