Colour Matching Specialist for Plain Fabrics

To ensure the highest standards of colour accuracy and quality, we are seeking a detail-oriented **Colour Matching Specialist** with an excellent eye for detail and a passion for têxtiles.

**# **Primary Responsibilities**

**1. **Colour Matching Duties**:

- Analyze and compare plain fabrics to match shades, tones, and textures accurately.
- Assess incoming inventory and organize fabrics to ensure proper grouping of matching or complementary colours.
- Assist customers in finding the closest colour match, providing expert guidance on options available.

**2. **Customer Support**:

- Assist walk-in and wholesale clients with specific colour-matching requirements for their projects or orders.
- Provide advice on fabric suitability, dyeing options, and potential substitutes.

**3. **Fabric Handling and Organisation**:

- Ensure fabrics are stored in an organized manner, categorizing them by colour, material, and usage to facilitate easy access.
- Prepare and package colour-matched fabric orders for wholesale or retail deliveries.

**# **Key Qualifications and Skills**
- Strong eye and attention to detail for colour, tone, and texture differences.
- Previous experience in colour matching, têxtiles, or fabric retail/wholesale is a plus.
- Basic understanding of fabric properties and different types of plain fabrics (e.g., cotton, linen, silk, etc.).

- **Patience** and **precision** when working with colours and textures.
- A natural aptitude for identifying minute shade differences under varying light conditions.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and fabric trends.

- Frequent standing and fabric handling is required.
- Ability to lift and handle fabric rolls of varying weights (as needed).
- Comfortable working in a warehouse or wholesale shop environment.
- Adept at working under artificial and natural lighting to assess colour accuracy.
