**Job Overview**:
As a Quantity Surveyor (QS) at Sankalp Dream Nest, you will be responsible for
reviewing construction plans, preparing quantity requirements, and scrutinizing
maintenance and material costs. You will also play a key role in evaluating contracts
to ensure the best deals for the company.
**Responsibilities**:
- Review Construction Plans:
- Analyze construction plans and specifications to understand project
requirements.
- Review drawings and technical documents to identify materials, quantities,
and scope of work.
- Collaborate with the project team to clarify any ambiguities or discrepancies in
the plans.
- Prepare Quantity Requirements:
- Estimate the quantities of materials, labor, and equipment required for each
project.
- Utilize quantity surveying techniques and software to accurately determine
material requirements.
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for procurement and
budgeting purposes.
- Scrutinize Maintenance and Material Costs:
- Evaluate maintenance and material costs to identify opportunities for cost
optimization.
- Analyze different options for materials and maintenance services to achieve
the best quality at the most competitive prices.
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate favorable terms
and discounts.
- Contract Evaluation:
- Review contracts, including terms, conditions, and pricing structures.
- Identify any potential risks or inconsistencies in contracts.
- Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to ensure contract compliance
and mitigate risks.
- Ensure Best Deals:
- Conduct market research to stay updated on current industry prices and
trends.
- Negotiate favorable contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Continuously monitor and assess market conditions to identify opportunities
for cost savings.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a
related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction plans and quantity estimation techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills to scrutinize maintenance and material costs
effectively.
- Proficiency in contract evaluation and negotiation.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in quantity surveying.
