Strategy and Technology (S&T) lays the path for Nokia’s future technology innovation and identifies the most promising areas for Nokia to create new value. We set the company’s strategy and technology vision, offer an unparalleled research foundation for innovation, and provide critical support infrastructure for Nokia.

Within S&T, Nokia Standards targets collaboration with internal and external experts to advance the state-of-the-art technology landscape as well as to protect Nokia Intellectual Property. Within Nokia Standards, the E2E strategy team is responsible for standards strategy as well as contributing to and leading industry standards with a focus on end to end network solutions.

**What you will learn and contribute to**

To further strengthen our standards and industry leadership in innovations for 5G-Advanced and 6G, we are looking for two (2) Senior Standardization Specialists for 5GA and 6G requirements to develop and standardize future use cases and requirements. In this role you will be responsible for collecting, analysing, specifying use cases and requirements pertaining to 3GPP networks evolutions to support new requirements for both personal communications (XR, metaverse, etc.) and industry verticals (e.g. Public Safety, Railways, Industrial Automation, energy grids, content production and distribution, etc.)

The job also includes the development and execution of standardization and industry engagement strategies. You will engage with applied research and standardization professionals to establish, drive and defend the Nokia's preferred solutions in key industry organizations as well as to build up robust intellectual property assets for Nokia. Interaction with customers, partners and competitors in these organizations is an inherent part of the job.

As part of our team, you will:

- Lead 6G ecosystem engagements in India
- Drive Global Harmonization of Industry Standards
- Contribute to 3GPP (with focus on SA1) and leading key associations focusing on industry verticals
- Analyse trends in industry and technology with regards to their relevance for 5G Advanced and 6G.
- Specify use cases and identify the requirements needed for 5G-Advanced and 6G to support those.
- Create a vision for and strategy to develop the new functions to be supported by 5G-Advanced and 6G in the future.
- Collaborate with the Nokia business groups and customer projects, and engage with customers and ecosystem partners as part of the research and standardization process
- Create inventions and intellectual property (IPR’s) and support strengthening of Nokia IPR portfolio

**Your skills and experience**

You have:

- A computer science or electrical engineering MSc degree, or equivalent.
- 5 or more years of experience in research, collaborative projects, standardization bodies and experience with writing on technical topics.
- A proven track record in standardisation and excellent negotiation and consensus building skills
- Knowledge of communication technologies such as, 5G, edge-cloud, IoT, Industry 4.0, etc. and awareness of 6G technologies.
- Proven strong analytical thinking, ability to address complex problems and find innovative/disruptive solutions in multi-cultural engineering, research and standardization environments and other types of industries

It would be nice if you also have:

- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work autonomously and be part of virtual, international and distributed teams
- Background in product management or technical sales or similar customer related positions
