**Sample Collection and Preparation**

**Lab Technician Roles and Responsibilities**
- Collect blood, urine, tissue, or other specimens from patients (in clinical labs).
- Prepare samples for testing by labeling, sorting, and storing them appropriately.
- **Conducting Laboratory Tests**:

- Perform standard laboratory tests (e.g., blood counts, chemical analyses, microbiological cultures).
- Operate analytical instruments such as microscopes, centrifuges, and spectrometers.
- **Data Recording and Analysis**:

- Accurately record test results.
- Analyze findings and report abnormal results to relevant personnel (e.g., doctors or supervisors).
- **Equipment Maintenance**:

- Calibrate, clean, and maintain lab equipment.
- Troubleshoot and report malfunctions or calibration issues.
- **Quality Control and Assurance**:

- Follow protocols to ensure testing accuracy.
- Maintain documentation for quality audits and regulatory compliance.
- **Health and Safety Compliance**:

- Adhere to safety procedures and biohazard protocols.
- Wear protective gear and properly dispose of hazardous waste.
- **Inventory and Supply Management**:

- Monitor stock levels of lab supplies and reagents.
- Order or request restocking when supplies run low.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work alongside scientists, pathologists, or medical staff.
- Communicate findings clearly and timely.

**Additional Duties (Depending on Setting)** **Clinical Labs**
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Assist in diagnosing diseases based on test results.

**Research Labs**
- Assist in experiments and data collection.
- Help in writing research reports or publications. **Industrial/Manufacturing Labs**:

- Test raw materials and finished products for quality.
- Ensure processes meet regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO).

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
