Collection Executive for Debt Recovery

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and results-oriented Collection Executive to join our team and support our debt recovery efforts. As a Collection Executive, you will be responsible for contacting individuals and businesses with outstanding debts, negotiating repayment plans, and ensuring timely recovery of overdue payments. Your ability to communicate effectively, maintain a professional demeanor, and employ strong negotiation skills will be essential in this role.

**Responsibilities**:
2. Establish effective communication channels to maintain contact with debtors, ensuring timely follow-up on repayment commitments.

3. Evaluate debtor financial situations and develop suitable repayment plans based on their ability to pay.

4. Negotiate with debtors to secure payment arrangements that are mutually beneficial and conducive to debt recovery.

5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collections activities, including contact details, payment commitments, and conversations with debtors.

6. Monitor and track payment schedules, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon repayment plans.
7. Provide timely updates to management on the progress of debt recovery efforts and highlight any challenges or issues that may hinder recovery.
8. Collaborate with internal teams, such as legal, credit control, and customer service, to gather information and resolve disputes or discrepancies related to outstanding debts.
9. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in debt collection, ensuring compliance with applicable guidelines and ethical standards.
10. Handle debtor inquiries, complaints, and requests for information in a professional and customer-centric manner.
11. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive debtor information.
12. Identify opportunities to improve collection processes and suggest strategies for enhancing recovery rates and reducing delinquency.

**Requirements**:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.

2. Proven work experience as a Collection Executive, Debt Collector, or similar role, preferably in a financial institution or debt recovery agency.

3. Strong knowledge of debt collection practices, regulations, and legal requirements.
4. Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to navigate difficult conversations and overcome objections.
5. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and empathy.
6. Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
7. Proficient in using computer systems, databases, and collection software.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
9. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting or exceeding collection targets.
10. Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software is a plus.

**Salary**: ₹8,086.00 - ₹32,890.78 per month
