**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Food and Beverage Service**:
- Greet guests in a polite and friendly manner, offering them menus and explaining the day's specials.
- Take guest orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar for preparation.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring their satisfaction.
- Ensure that guests have everything they need during their meal, such as condiments, utensils, and drink refills.
- **Table Maintenance**:
- Set tables according to restaurant or hotel standards, ensuring they are clean, neatly arranged, and equipped with necessary utensils.
- Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently after guests have finished dining.
- Maintain a clean and orderly dining area, ensuring that spills and messes are cleaned up promptly.
- Ensure that tables are stocked with appropriate glassware, napkins, and other dining essentials.
- **Guest Assistance**:
- Respond to guest inquiries and provide recommendations on menu items, special requests, and dietary restrictions.
- Ensure guests' needs are met throughout their dining experience, including checking in during the meal to confirm satisfaction.
- Address guest concerns or complaints promptly, seeking to resolve issues and escalate to management when necessary.
- **Food Preparation and Presentation**:
- Assist with the preparation and garnishing of food and beverages for service.
- Ensure that food is served at the correct temperature and in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the food service area, including storage and handling of food items.
- **Cleaning and Sanitation**:
- Clean and sanitize dining tables, chairs, and other dining equipment.
- Ensure that the kitchen, bar, and dining areas are maintained to health and safety standards.
- Assist in washing dishes, glassware, utensils, and maintaining cleanliness in the back-of-house areas.
- Ensure the proper storage of food and beverage items and dispose of waste in accordance with sanitation policies.
- **Team Collaboration**:
- Work effectively with other wait staff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service.
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and bar staff regarding orders, special requests, and any changes to the guest's requirements.
- Assist colleagues with their tasks during busy periods to maintain efficiency and service standards.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good knowledge of food and beverage menus, including allergies, dietary restrictions, and food preparation techniques.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays or items, and carry heavy loads when needed.
- Professional appearance and good hygiene.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
**Working Conditions**:
- Work in a busy dining environment, often with high guest volume.
- Requires standing, walking, and lifting during the shift.
- Interaction with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
