We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of System Administrator

In this role, you will:

- Work along with HSBC ITID teams in supporting and maintaining their IT Infrastructure, work on troubleshooting activities, deliver assigned tasks / projects to satisfy the SLAs and PLAs agreed.
- The Jobholder would need to possess in-depth technical understanding and competent problem solving & analytical skills. Needs to train and groom trainees on complex systems. Should be able to understand and interpret functional and technical requirements. Escalate technical and managerial issues to the management or client supervisor at the right time.
- Jobholder is also expected to work in rotational shifts where required to provide agreed support coverage

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

- Operating System (general), Ops Navigator, Basic Knowledge of CL Programming, HMC & TCP/IP.
- Good uderstand of BRMS Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting
- Experinece and understanding on Third party software’s such as Connect Direct, IWS, CDC, iHA, Security, Power lock
- Knowledge/Experience in IBM i Performance Management.
- Third Party Tools: Power HA, Connect:DIRECT, OnDemand Report Archiving tool, iDoctor & PowerLock.
- Knowledge and experience of OS upgrades.
- Experience on various IBM i migrations projects.
- Should possess industry standard certifications for IBM i.
- Creation of Controllers and Display devices
- Creation of Printer devices and Remote Output queues
- Creation of Subsystems including Job queue and Routing entries
- Adding Communication and Workstation Entries
- Deleting obsolete configurations
- Performing system IPL
- Knowledge of iASP.
- Knowledge on iCluster and troubleshooting on errors
- Installing PTF’s (Program Temporary Fixes), License Keys and Software Licensed Programs
- Should be well versed with ITIL concepts and more specific understanding of Service operations activities.
- Worked in a infrastructure critical environment and understands how technology adds value to the business and ultimately the end customer.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player.
- Good Communication and interpersonal skills
- Banking domain experience will be added advantage.
