**ROLE**

While we make learning fun for kids, we have as much fun creating these math worksheets. We’re looking for a **Math Item Writer** who will create concept-aligned, fun, and engaging worksheets to help students strengthen their grasp of the math concepts. As a freelance item writer, you will be working on many Splashlearn worksheet templates and communicating with a single point of contact to understand the requirements, specifications, deadlines, etc. As part of our efforts to polish and improve the quality of the worksheets, you will also be working on the reviewer’s feedback.

**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Create real-world and mathematical problems for K-5 worksheets based on the given concept.
- Add pictures, graphs, charts, etc., to the worksheets wherever needed.
- Validate the data used in the problems according to the US market (e.g., costs of items, number of items in a box, vehicle speeds, etc.).
- Check worksheets for American spellings, grammar, and writing style.
- Check for the alignment of the text and pictures in the worksheet.
- Review worksheets on the given parameters, such as math errors, concept alignment, design issues, etc.
- Participate in rigorous peer review processes to improve the quality of the content.
- Regularly check and maintain the project tracker.
- Maintain active communication with different stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure a fast turnaround time and consistently meet the deadlines.
- Cope with the evolving education trends, best practices, and requirements.

**QUALIFICATION & SKILLS**
- Graduate in any discipline
- 1+ years of experience as a K-5 Math item writer
- Should have excellent written communication skills
- Should have the ability to analyze math learning objectives
- Self-motivated, attention to detail, active participation in the project
- Experience or knowledge of the US common core math standards will be a major plus
