Verizon’s Cloud Engineering & Enablement team is looking for Senior DevOps Engineer. You will be playing a prominent role in all development/deployment activities, enabling self service and innovations, building, engineering and optimizing CICD tools on Cloud. Expertise in Cloud, Devops Tools, SRE, Scripting and Engineering Support with excellent communication skills.

What you’ll be doing...
- Setting up scalable CICD pipelines for code build, deploy and test with GitLab
- Scripting with shell/bash and/or Python for automated CICD jobs
- Automating code introspection (linting, static code scanning) with CICD jobs
- Monitoring scheduled jobs and managing notifications and failure remediations
- Managing infrastructure as code platforms (CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Ensuring compliance with Verizon security processes and tools

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong knowledge in Cloud, DevOps Tools, Automation, SRE and excellent communication skills.

You’ll need to have:

- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in supporting Devops tools like Jenkins, and Gitlab
- Experience in supporting DevOps Automation and CI/CD Pipeline.
- Experience in Monitoring/Alerting tools and platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Catchpoint, New Relic, etc
- Hands on Experience with CICD automation tasks on Public Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI)
- Knowledge in AWS (Lambda, Ec2, ELB, S3, EFS, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, IAM, Route53. ELB, Device form etc.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

- Knowledge of AWS Architecture or Operations Certifications would be an added advantage.
- Basic Understanding of NLU / NLP. Experience would be an added advantage
- Problem solving abilities along with verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in understanding Code Quality analysis tools like sonarqube, etc
- Knowledge of Testing tools like qTest, Jmeter, Selenium, etc
