Variety Book Store is looking for a meticulous and reliable **Computer Data Operator** to join our team. As a Data Operator, you will be responsible for efficiently managing and inputting data into our systems to ensure smooth and accurate record-keeping across both our retail and wholesale divisions. This is a key role in supporting the operational aspects of our business, including inventory management, order processing, and customer data handling.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Input, update, and maintain accurate data in the company’s databases and inventory management systems.
- Process and track orders for both retail and wholesale customers, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Assist in managing product inventory, including entering new stock, updating quantities, and performing regular data audits.
- Generate and review reports related to sales, inventory levels, and order status to ensure business operations are running smoothly.
- Monitor and update customer information, ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy.
- Coordinate with other departments (sales, logistics, etc.) to ensure that data is consistent and up-to-date.
- Troubleshoot any data entry or system errors and escalate issues when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and data entry standards.
- Provide general administrative support as needed, including assisting with filing, record-keeping, and clerical tasks.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in data entry, computer operations, or related fields is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Data Entry Operator, Computer Data Operator, or similar role, ideally in a retail or wholesale environment.
- Strong typing skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and other data management software.
- Familiarity with database systems and inventory management software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision while adhering to company guidelines and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and handle repetitive tasks without compromising accuracy.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience working in retail or wholesale operations.
- Knowledge of data protection and privacy practices.
- Ability to adapt to new software and tools as needed.
