A Kitchen Steward, often referred to as KST, is a support staff member in a hotel or restaurant's food and beverage department, primarily responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and back-of-house areas. This includes cleaning equipment, washing dishes, and ensuring proper waste disposal. Essentially, they support the culinary team by keeping the kitchen functional and sanitary. Key Responsibilities of a Kitchen Steward:

- **Maintaining Cleanliness and Hygiene**: Ensuring all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and storage areas, are clean and sanitized.

- **Dishwashing and Utensil Cleaning**: Washing dishes, cutlery, glassware, and cookware, and maintaining cleanliness of all kitchen equipment.

- **Waste Disposal**: Properly disposing of waste and ensuring proper garbage segregation according to hotel and authority standards.

- **Assisting Culinary Staff**: Supporting chefs and kitchen staff with basic tasks like restocking supplies, cleaning workstations, and preparing food items.

- **Operating Equipment**: Using and maintaining kitchen equipment, including dishwashers and other machinery, according to manufacturer guidelines.

- **Reporting Issues**: Identifying and reporting any maintenance or hazard issues to the chief steward or stewarding manager.

- **Following Safety and Sanitation Procedures**: Adhering to all safety and sanitation regulations and guidelines.

- **Inventory Management**: May be involved in tracking and managing inventory of kitchen supplies.

- **Following Schedules**: Ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed according to established schedules and procedures.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ajabpur, Dehradun, Uttarakhand: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
