- The Data Ops function brings together the market reference data functions supporting HSBC Global Banking and Markets (GB&M) and Securities Services under one group in support of the wider strategic objective to develop a Shared Service across the entire HSBC Group.
- ata Operations supports core utility services with over 600 people with the mission of providing timely, compliant and cost effective data services globally across a number of Data Domains and consumer categories.
- Our 7 Data Domains are varied, from Instrument and Pricing to Standard Settlement Instructions but they have one commonality - Data provision to a diverse group of HSBC consumers. As we join our Data Domains together we aim to enable faster quality data with STP, common and reusable technology solutions to assist our highly skilled Data Domain staff and enable a better focused end to end consumer service supported by our Data Engineering Product teams.
- Data Operations Pricing domain owns and manages enterprise pricing and FX data maintenance across the Business, and is responsible for the management of market data feeds both end of day and intraday from third party vendors, as well as internal data tasks to support both external and internal data on HSBC internal/external systems.

**The Opportunity**:

- An opportunity has arisen for a Pricing Product Owner (Delivery) at VP level within the Data Engineering team to lead Product Delivery and enable the execution of strategy across Pricing, FX and Rates data and drive consumer adoptions to trusted source (SPS), support the consumer growth agenda, digital strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.

**What you’ll do**:

- Develop and manage an adoptions framework methodology to support consumer on-boarding to trusted source, underpinned by agile ways of working with focus on iterative deliveries and benefit realisation
- Determine scope of adoption with focus on Data Operations footprint, adoption status, SOC classification and global function
- Iteratively develop and refine a trusted source adoptions cost calculator and the identification of budgets with focus on indirect, direct and consumer estimates
- Identify synergies and opportunities to enable ROI articulation in a data led and objective manner
- Lead proactive consumer engagement to demonstrate trusted source offering and enable definition of f2b pricing requirements across the business in partnership with Consumer Delivery colleagues
- Lead the determination of outcomes and benefits across data producer and data consumer landscapes associated with trusted source adoption including financial and budgetary analysis to unlock business case strategies and composition
- Provide business critical thinking to the IT development of the business solutions associated with the adoption, e.g. rationale on why data vendor hierarchies are selected
- Responsible for definition of user stories and prioritisation across the pricing product book of work throughout the agile project lifecycle in conjunction with change & delivery leads and in partnership with consumers across the lines of business
- Manage contending priorities across multiple stakeholders and consumers to ensure appropriate prioritization aligned to the strategy of the business
- Drive forward trusted source functional enhancements in partnership with platform lead to promote trusted source adoption strategy and roadmap, via participation and oversight of problem statement articulation, solution design and supplier backlog management
- Drive the Rapid Application Development (RAD) agenda as required, understanding and documenting linkages to trusted source gaps as an input to strategic product roadmap
- Articulation of current state inefficiencies and risks in a consistent, structured manner to enable data led design thinking and support continuous improvement, including the management of these through JIRA/Confluence as appropriate and represent these risks at WG/PSC
Requirements

**What you will need to succeed in the role**:
**Business**
- At least 5 years in a similar change role in a fast paced Agile and Scrum delivery environment
- Experience of Enterprise Data Management (EDM) solutions such as Bloomberg Data Management Services (BDMS), Golden Source, Alveo
- Experience of mainstream data vendors such as Bloomberg and Refinitiv
- Proven success in product and/or delivery roles on multiple projects covering all aspects outlined above
- Strong leadership and team management skills, across globally distributed teams
- Excellent
