Tasks

Job Responsibilities
- Closely working with R&D engineers to spread IP awareness, mine patentable inventions, conduct evaluation reviews, patentability searches and make patent filing decisions
- Implement IP strategy, policy and inventor engagement programs for respective business units
- Liaison with external partners: Law firms and vendors for patent drafting, filing and research
- Drive initiatives to continuously improve the quantity and quality of patent portfolio
- Collaborate and network with IP stakeholders within Daimler Truck AG and across industry

Skills Required
- Quick learner, ability to understand and go deep in diverse/complex/emerging technological areas relevant to automotive domains
- Prior art searching, patent drafting, patentability assessment
- Patent research, landscaping and whitespace analysis
- Registered Patent Agent with Indian patent office preferred
- Good communication skills and ability to work in and contribute as a good team player
- Experience in the automotive field and exposure of multi-cultural environment is an added advantage
- Basic knowledge of German language preferred
