Job Summary:
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This includes ensuring that project costs are accurately estimated, controlled, and managed from inception to completion. The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered on budget and within scope.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Cost Estimation and Budgeting**:

- Prepare and analyze cost estimates for projects.
- Develop and manage project budgets.
- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs.
- **Tendering and Contract Negotiation**:

- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
- Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors.
- Negotiate and agree on contracts and cost variations.
- **Cost Control and Management**:

- Monitor and control project costs to ensure they stay within the approved budget.
- Manage project changes and variations.
- Provide financial progress reports and forecasts.
- **Risk Management**:

- Identify and mitigate financial risks related to projects.
- Advise on procurement strategies and contract selection.
- **Compliance and Documentation**:

- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Prepare and present cost reports for stakeholders.
- **Liaison and Communication**:

- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project team members.
- Attend site visits and meetings.
- Provide advice and guidance on contractual and cost-related matters.
