**Key Responsibilities**:

- **VDI Support & Troubleshooting**:

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with VMware Horizon View, VMware vSphere, and associated technologies.
- Perform root cause analysis for VDI issues and work to develop long-term solutions.
- **System Maintenance**:

- Monitor and maintain VMware Horizon infrastructure, ensuring availability and optimal performance.
- Perform regular updates and patches for VMware products, ensuring the VDI environment is up-to-date.
- Manage virtual machine (VM) deployments and maintenance.
- **User Management & Support**:

- Assist in user profile management, including troubleshooting user-specific VDI login and session issues.
- Collaborate with system administrators and network engineers to resolve issues impacting end-users.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:

- Document incidents, problems, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Create and update knowledge base articles to share solutions and best practices with the team.
- Provide regular reports on system performance, issues, and resolution timelines.
- **Collaboration & Process Improvement**:

- Work closely with the system administration, networking, and other support teams to ensure the smooth operation of the VDI environment.
- Identify areas for process improvement, optimize the user experience, and suggest enhancements to the VDI infrastructure.
- **Training & Guidance**:

- Provide support and guidance to less-experienced team members and end-users on VMware VDI usage.
- Stay current on VMware VDI trends, tools, and best practices.

**Qualifications**:
**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Strong experience with VMware Horizon View and VMware vSphere/ESXi.
- Experience troubleshooting VDI-related issues, including user profiles, session management, and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Knowledge of virtual desktop management tools and technologies.
- Experience with monitoring and performance tuning of VDI environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

**Preferred Skills**:

- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) in VDI or related fields.
- Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops or other VDI solutions.
- Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, etc.) for automation and process improvement.
- Knowledge of cloud environments such as VMware Cloud on AWS or Azure VMware Solution is a plus.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery planning for VDI environments.

**Educational Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
