AS-IN-Vadodara **Job Description and Qualifications** **Job Description**: - ** I. ** To **provide support for equipment/materials sourcing team** in the execution of the sourcing activities supporting the Capital Procurement (engineering, fabricated equipment’s, and materials) area as well as lead our efforts to manage the EPCm relationship in support of our project Procurement opportunities. **III, NATURE AND SCOPE** This position is primarily responsible for providing and assisting support for all India procurement execution activities for the Integrated Gases opportunities and the Global opportunities supporting the Capital (engineering, equipment, and materials) areas. As such, the incumbent directs sourcing teams that are responsible for executing, negotiating, implementing and maintaining competitively advantageous supply arrangements for active projects. **IV. DIMENSIONS**: Average Annual Spend ManagedUSD 50 - 300 MM Categories Supported Regionally Capital Equipment; Piping Bulk, Mecanical - Static and rotating, Compressors and machinery, Valves (Control Valves, GGC), Elect & Instrumentation bulk items **V. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES** Within the sourcing category of their responsibility: - Issuance of RFQ as per approved vendor list to pre-qualified suppliers using procurement tools - SCOUT / Ariba, SPMAT; - Creation of SAP PO and release. Clear understanding of PO and Service order terms w r t supply of equipment’s, Electrical and Instrumentation bulks items - Seek technical approval from Project group on techno-commercial offers, making comparative statements and recommendations to Senior Management for review and approval; - Execute source process by developing, negotiating, implementing, and sustaining supply contracts consistent with business/project requirements. - Execute the sourcing work process in accordance with the Air Products approved work processes, including SAP purchase order processing and contract management. - Monitor, communicate, and respond to changing market conditions and business drivers on a local and global basis to maximize leverage and minimize risk. - Provide support and information in cost discovery, supplier discovery and development work to meet project and business needs to strengthen competitive advantage for the corporation. - Work closely with supported businesses and functional organizations to ensure stability and cost effectiveness of supply. - Bring innovative supplier solutions to maximize value proposition across the supply chain. - Manage supplier performance and maintain interface within supplier’s organization. - Develop and execute purchased equipment. - Assist India Manager of Procurement - New Plant Assets in the development and maintenance of necessary tools for functional excellence - Interface at senior management levels within the supplier’s organization to represent Air Products’ interests. **V. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS** - Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering_ Experience- ** 05-07 years of procurement/strategic Equipment sourcing experience, preferably minimum 3 years in sourcing of capital equipment’s in an Industrial Gas Company or with an EPC company**: - Preferable with working experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), Industrial Gases or Petrochemicals / Chemicals or Oil & Gas Industries. - Worked with a multinational company in a matrix set up will be an advantage. - Detailed knowledge of commercial purchasing procedures and practices, including aspects of negotiation, contract law and claims management. - Familiar with operating within SAP environment**Skills**: - Strong Communication, negotiation and influencing skills - Self-starter - Excellent business communication and interpersonal skills - Strong project management and planning skills - Team player - High ethical conduct - Knowledge of local suppliers and vendor management - Knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement work processes. This position requires a travel (>20%) within the India and occasionally outside India as business needs or projects dictate.
