**Job Summary**:
The System Administrator is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and security of computer systems, networks, and related infrastructure, both on-premises and in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment. This role involves managing and configuring servers, databases, virtualization technologies, backup systems, and other IT resources to support the organization's operations and business requirements across traditional and cloud infrastructures.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. AWS Cloud Administration:

- Develop a deep understanding of various AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Fargate, VPC, CloudWatch, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Configure, deploy, and manage AWS resources and services
- Design and implement secure AWS environments following best practices and compliance requirements
- Leverage automation tools and scripting languages (CloudFormation, Systems Manager, Terraform) for infrastructure-as-code deployment
- Monitor and troubleshoot AWS environments using tools like CloudWatch, log analysis, and debugging techniques
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies in AWS
- Optimize AWS costs by right-sizing resources, leveraging reserved/spot instances, and monitoring resource utilization

2. Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

- Analyze and interpret logs, metrics, and performance data for troubleshooting and optimization

3. Collaboration and Communication:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, developers, stakeholders, and end-users
- Communicate technical information clearly and effectively
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members as needed

4. Continuous Learning and Cost Optimization:

- Stay up to date with the latest AWS updates, best practices, and trends
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge in system administration, cloud technologies, and emerging trends
- Implement strategies to optimize costs and resource utilization across on-premises and AWS environments

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Professional, CCNA, RHCE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator)
- Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure management
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform)
