**The Role**

Design and implement secure hybrid network architecture enabling connectivity between on-premises data centers, Azure VMware Solution (AVS), and Azure-native services via ExpressRoute and VPN.
- Configure and manage Azure network services including VNets, Subnets, NSGs, Route Tables, UDRs, Application Gateway, Azure Front Door, Load Balancers (internal/external), and DNS zones.
- Implement and support firewall platforms such as Azure Firewall and Palo Alto NGFW, ensuring proper routing, NAT, and perimeter defense policies.
- Configure HAProxy or equivalent L4/L7 load balancing solutions and AVS for high availability and traffic management.
- Work closely with platform SMEs and migration teams to validate migration bandwidth readiness, throughput expectations, and traffic flow patterns.
- Participate in design and troubleshooting of Service Mesh architectures, private link endpoints, and hybrid connectivity for backend services (DB, middleware, etc.).
- Contribute to DR and failover architecture by implementing region-aware routing, DNS failover, and resiliency testing.
- Document network architecture, firewall rulesets, and security controls, and ensure alignment with enterprise security and compliance standards.
- Leading HA/DR implementation considerations across multiple regions on azure as per requirements together with Network bandwidth optimization and policy enforecement
- Responsible for Azure Network Security Policy controls

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 6-8 years of experience in network design, firewall configuration, and cloud networking.
- Proven expertise in Azure network architecture and services: ExpressRoute, VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, Load Balancer, Front Door, DNS.
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Cisco FTD, Juniper firewalls, HAProxy, and cloud-based network segmentation strategies.
- Experience designing hybrid network connectivity for Azure VMware Solution (AVS) environments.
- Proficient in network diagnostics, IP addressing, subnetting, routing protocols, and VPN configurations.
- Experience working with SDN and network security frameworks in cloud environments.
- Strong documentation and communication skills with a focus on enterprise governance and risk mitigation.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Microsoft certifications: AZ-700 (Azure Network Engineer Associate) or equivalent.
- Experience in secure architecture design for multi-region, multi-zone environments.
