The Role

Within our Database Administration team at Kyndryl, you'll be a master of managing and administering the backbone of our technological infrastructure. You'll be the architect of the system, shaping the base definition, structure, and documentation to ensure the long-term success of our business operations.

Your expertise will be crucial in configuring, installing and maintaining database management systems, ensuring that our systems are always running at peak performance. You'll also be responsible for managing user access, implementing the highest standards of security to protect our valuable data from unauthorized access.

As a key player on the team, you'll implement policies and procedures to safeguard our data from external threats. You will also conduct capacity planning and growth projections based on usage, ensuring that our system is always scalable to meet our business needs.

You'll be a strategic partner, working closely with various teams to coordinate systematic database project plans that align with our organizational goals. Who You Are

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Familiar the different editions of SQL Server and can advise on when to use each to optimize.- Strong backup/recovery, including replication/failover- tuning and troubleshooting knowledge of SQL Server.- Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and manage Microsoft SQL Server databases.- Establish and maintain backup and recovery policy and procedures.- Provide proactive monitoring and performance tuning including physical server level, database level, and query tuning.- Create users and assign permissions based on authorized level of access.-
- Ensure 24/7 availability of the SQL Server database environment. This will include 24/7 on
- call responsibilities on a rotating schedule.- Represent SQL Server Database Administration team in Disaster Recovery and project activities.- Share technical expertise providing technical mentorship and cross training to other team members.- Maintain documentation of the database environment and infrastructure.-
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to administer as well as troubleshoot live issues both internal as well as customer reported.- Investigate and troubleshoot issues.- Create and execute scripts to perform needed system functions.- Database server administration (MS-SQL) and team management.- Good communication skills, need to participate in client meetings.- Handle regular day to day IT Infra operations.- Installation of MS-SQL, break fixing of H/W and S/W issues.- Working on Service Desk tickets.- Coordinating with IT stake holders to fix the issues.- Participate in internal/external audits to showcase the IT compliance status.- Perform the IT related task and update the status higher management on regularly.- Participating in Day/Weekly status review meetings- Excellent oral and written communication skills.- Experience in Operating Systems tuning and configurations.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:
- A minimum of 3+ years of overall experience in MS-SQL Database Domain with proven experience in Database Operations.- Client Meetings, External Audit, Database Installation, Database Environment, Database MS-SQL Server Administration

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:
- BE/ BTech/MCA/Diploma.
