The CNC Laser Cutting Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC laser cutting machines to produce high-quality parts and components according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Machine Setup: Prepare and set up CNC laser cutting machines for production runs, including loading materials, configuring machine settings, and ensuring proper tooling is in place.
- Operation: Operate CNC laser cutting machines to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the process.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects and adherence to quality standards using measuring tools and gauges. Document and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and troubleshooting mechanical issues to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Programming: Assist in creating and modifying CNC programs as needed, working closely with engineers and programmers to optimize cutting paths and improve efficiency.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production output, machine performance, and maintenance activities for reporting and analysis.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining or related field is preferred.
- Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting machines in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming, blueprint reading, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Proficient in the use of measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

- Primarily in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and potential hazards.
- Requires standing for long periods and may involve lifting materials weighing up to [weight limit].
