Accounts Assistant

**Main Purpose**:
Reporting to Group Finance, the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for various bookkeeping and accounts administration tasks for the Taoglas Group.

You will also be involved in A/P with a particular emphasis on processing purchase orders, purchase invoices and other bills, obtaining any necessary approvals and initiating payment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Generating timely and accurate customer invoices, credit notes and statements.
- Credit Control for Ireland/Europe/Africa/Middle East/USA/India.
- Monthly Intercompany Account reconciliations with foreign subsidiaries.
- Reviewing A/R aging reports on a regular basis and following up with customers on A/R collection in order to maintain aged balances at a targeted minimum level.
- Developing relationships with customers to assist in A/R collection. Liaising with customers regarding balances due.
- Actively monitoring the accuracy of credit terms in SAP B1.
- Working closely with the customer service team to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of issuing invoices to customers.
- Maintaining a log of incoming check payments.
- Downloading and saving statement of accounts for all customers.
- Providing assistance to customer inquiries or issues with payments or remittances.
- Assisting with month end tasks including (but not limited to) intercompany accounts reconciliations and updates to the fixed asset registers.
- Bank receipts, bank payments, bank reconciliations input.
- Business visa card processing.
- Generating purchase orders and entering AP invoices.
- Preparation, completion and posting of month end payment listing and payment runs.
- Overseeing the approval process for purchase orders and payments.
- Actively monitoring the accuracy of payment terms in SAP B1.
- Completion of supplier account reconciliations.
- Liaising with suppliers on any invoice or payment queries.
- Weekly payment run preparation and processing & completion for employee expense claims.
- Assisting in the interim and year-end audit by providing timely and accurate financial information.

**Knowledge and Experience**:

- Associate’s degree in accounting related field or equivalent experience.
- 2 years accounts receivable experience.
- 2 years accounts payable experience.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with an ERP system
- Multi-entity experience highly preferred
- Experience with SAP B1

- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects
- A self-starter with experience in time management and workload prioritization.
- Track record in delivering complex projects
- Personable, approachable, coupled with a sense of humour.
- Experience working in a Global team desirable
