Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our accounting team. As a Junior Accountant, you will assist with various accounting tasks including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to gain practical experience in accounting and develop their career in finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including managing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Prepare and process invoices, payments, and financial reports.
  • Support the senior accounting team in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Help with preparation of tax returns and other compliance-related documentation.
  • Support the accounting team in day-to-day operations, including filing and maintaining accounting records.
  • Ensure timely processing of all financial transactions and entries in accounting software.
  • Maintain and update financial spreadsheets and related documents.
  • Assist with audit preparations and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
  • Participate in special accounting projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with at least 1 year of work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Mandatory knowledge of accounting software such as Tally Prime.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced skills will be an added advantage).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
