- As a PGT Biology teacher, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of imparting knowledge and fostering an understanding of biological concepts and principles among students
- Your role involves designing and delivering engaging lessons, conducting laboratory experiments, and facilitating discussions to promote inquiry-based learning and critical thinking in the field of biology
- You will play a vital role in preparing students for academic assessments, as well as nurturing their curiosity, appreciation for the natural world, and scientific inquiry skills

Key Responsibilities:

- Curriculum Development: Develop comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards and educational objectives in biology
- Classroom Instruction: Deliver engaging and interactive lectures, demonstrations, and discussions to enhance students' understanding of biological concepts, processes, and phenomena
- Laboratory Experiments: Plan and conduct laboratory experiments and investigations to provide hands-on learning experiences and reinforce theoretical concepts in biology
- Ensure laboratory safety protocols are followed at all times
- Student Assessment: Design and administer formative and summative assessments, including tests, quizzes, projects, and laboratory reports, to evaluate student learning outcomes and progress
- Individualized Support: Provide individualized support, guidance, and feedback to students to address their learning needs, strengths, and areas for improvement in biology
- Integration of Technology: Incorporate educational technology, multimedia resources, and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning experiences in biology, including virtual labs, simulations, and online resources
- Field Trips and Outdoor Activities: Organize and lead field trips, nature walks, and outdoor activities related to biology to provide real-world contexts for learning and connect students with the natural environment
- Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and stakeholders to coordinate interdisciplinary projects, share best practices, and participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes
- Extracurricular Involvement: Engage students in extracurricular activities related to biology, such as science fairs, nature clubs etc.
